These days I’m busy editing a book on architectural photography. To get away from the computer for a while I often take a manuscript to a cafe. Today it was El Hipopótamo.
As I sat there, during a break from reading and editing, I turned the camera towards the window and Bar Británico across Defensa street.

I love the second photo because it’s really evocative of that experience of just staring out a cafe window until you realize everything is a little blurry and you’re not really looking at anything anymore because you’re lost in thought.

Excelentes fotos, la primera me hizo recordar el estilo de EdwardHopper en Nighthawks.
Felicitaciones.

And what of the food at Hipopotamo? The Milanesa a la Marilyn was huge, and the best thing I ever ate that had canned peas on it. The cervesa negra artisanal is a bit skanky, but I had a second mug.

@Marc: I’ve always enjoyed their pasta. I think that’s all I’ve ever had there as far as food goes. I’ll have to try the milanesa.
