Barracas isn’t just a bunch of old factories. There are also some very nice houses there, such as this place on a cobblestone street.
Of course, I guess some people would not want to live across the street from some old, brick garage but I think it has quite a bit of charm.

When I was in BsAs in November 2006, I spent time in Barracas visiting a friend who lives near Parque Lezama, in a wonderful apartment that doesn’t look like it would be wonderful from the outside….I absolutely don’t doubt that there are many other secret oases with unattractive facades. I liked Barracas so well that I would love to return and find myself a place there! Very special place — very neigborhood feel, and friendly.
