For a couple of years I’ve been intending to take a photo of this house on Peru street, just around the corner from where I live. Just wished I had taken the photo before they threw up the For Rent sign. Those signs never come down…..oh, if you want to know, the rent: us$4,000.
As part of the recent restoration, the doors got a nice retouching.
It’s best when the morning sun hits the top of the building.

A lovely building for sure, but $4000?! Does the home have particular historical significance?

As far as I know, the house has no particular historical significance. I thought the price was very high, but it is a very large place. Perhaps a company or an institution is more likely to rent it as office space rather than someone as residence. A particular problem also is that the block it’s located on is not very nice, being one of the less attractive blocks in San Telmo with the exception of this building.
