My great grandfather’s brother Welwel Fajbiszewicz emigrated from Kartur, Poland to Buenos Aires some time after 1921. Believe he raised a family & died in Buenos Aires. The family name was changed to Fisher in the US. Can you help us locate his grave & family in Argentina.

I am looking for my uncle, my fathers brother who came from Poland. He used the name of Avahram Ostroff or Shlossman. He had 2 children, a boy and a girl named Mirtha. I know my uncle is dead but his son had 2 children and one was a boy so the last name should be carried out. My mother lost contact after my father, Sidney Shlossman died. Would like any info I can get.

My grandfather’s brother arrived in Buenos Aires in 1924 from the Ukraine. He died in the mid 1970s (1975-1976?) His name was Samuel Elman (“official” ID said “Helman”), and his wife was Dora Litwinczuk (sp?) Elman/Helman. I believe she died a few years earlier (~1972). Can you tell me where he is buried? Thank you.

My grandmother had many siblings all born in Mlawa, Poland between 1889 to perhaps 1905. Some stayed, some to UK, one to USA and one brother to Buenos Aires arriving approx 1910-1920. I only know the family name GOLDBERG. How on earth would I find where he is buried or his family?

I am searcing graves of 3 relatives.
They all came to Argentina in late 30th. from Arnstadt in ThÃ¼ringen, Germany.
They are:
Albert MÃ¼ller, born 1878
Margot MÃ¼ller, born 1908
Hans MÃ¼ller, born 1811, died july 1987, probably lived in Olivos, Buenos Aires.
Any adwise are most welcome.

I will be in Buenos aires toaward the end of January 2011. I am searching for my paternal greeat-uncle Ben Zion Schwartz (or Svartz, shwartz) who came from Ukraine, probably around the time of World War I. I am looking for my grandfather who died in St Nicholas so I am guessing he was buried in Tablada. He was orthodox. He died in 1917 and Tablada’s lists don’t go back that far. Is there a synagogue nearby that he may have been a member that may have his burial records? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Miriam – I ahve a great uncle named Moritz Kahn who left for Argentina and the family never heard from him. Is you grandfather from Mittelsinn Germany originally.
