the article was made by my family, but some of the things that were said were missunderstood by the newspaper reporters. what we were saying in the article is that in 2001 we moved to Virginia because of insecurity in argentina. we showed the reporters photos of argentina explainig that it was a beautiful country, but that it wasnt very safe. they didnt use thos pictures but instead they published other pictures, and what they said about the pictures was 100% their own opinion.

I agree with Collen, this fear is international, although a few countries seem to be less contaminated by it. What is perhaps more spectacular with our American friends, is that they control world economy and culture while being particularly closed on themselves. That's a combination that could explain a lot of the cultural programming noted by Troutsky.

About 8 years ago my daughter, who was born in BA but moved at 2, returned with her husband on a business trip to BA and then on to Rio. The people in BA warned her that Rio was very very dangerous. Then in Rio they warned her that BA was very very dangerous. I'm inclined to agree with the Argentines, but that story describes the world in general - fear of the unknown.

Fear of anything different or foriegn is practically the insignia of American consciousness. It makes us so easy to control.I have had the priveledge of travelling to many places around the planet and always I am warned of how dangerous a place is, of how life is cheaper in foreign places, why I should be afraid. It's a pathetic way to view the world but it seems to be part of our cultural programming,or socialization.
